The University of Genoa is one of the older and larger Universities of the North of Italy: 1.750 teachers, 40.300 students, 11 faculties. The DISPOS is a Unit devoted to the development of the research and the carrying out of teaching activities. The activities concern wide disciplines in the following frames: political sciences and policies, sociological studies, political thought, administration sciences, international law.
The Contractor is Prof. Franco Praussello. He is full professor of International Economics at the University of Genoa; he has a long consolidated experience in training and managing of several JEPs in Russian Federation, Ukraine, Moldova, Azerbaijan; he also is Coordinator of the "Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence" at the University of Genoa.
The Project Administrator is Mr. Angelo Musaio. He is manager of DISPOS, member of the ANSAD (National Association of University Departments' Managers”), he has been advisor of the joint company University - Municipality "SFPA" (Training School for the Public Administration).
The DISPOS promoted and set up, within its organization, three Research Centres: 'OCPEL' (Observatory on political and electoral behaviour in Liguria), 'OSSPOL' (Italian Political Observatory) and CESMO (Centre of Studies on Management and Organization). The staff of DISPOS has been involved in the National Project 'Good Practices' devoted to the evaluation of administrative services in the Italian University System, promoted by the National Committee Evaluation of the Italian Ministry of University and Research.

The ONMU, in its eighty-year history, trained specialists (from former USSR and from 68 Countries of Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America) for enterprises of marine transport. Education is performed at 7 Faculties (see above) at the master level - 5/6 years. The university has 25 laboratories, some of unique character, i.e. testing pool, aerodynamic simulator, some other giving the opportunity to make updated education and research.

Panteion University of Political and Social Sciences The Panteion University of Social and Political Science is a higher educational institution with a 76 years history and it constitutes of nine academic departments which are independent academic units, including the Department of International and European Studies. The Department of International and European Studies includes at the present stage about 2.000 undergraduate and approximately 130 post-graduate students; there is also some 45 academic and administrative staff. The Department of International and European Studies is actively involved in the promotion of international and European-oriented studies of high quality, ensuring to its postgraduate students an ideal context for the deepening of their knowledge in the field in question. A dynamic team of highly qualified Professors, lecturers and visiting experts contributes to this goal.
The Department of International and European Studies has also been actively involved in a significant number of EC-funded projects, including the joint European project 22031/2001; the local coordinator of the said project is Professor Constantine Stephanou, who is also the Director of Post-graduate studies of the Department of International and European Studies, the Vice-president of the European Community Studies Association (ECSA) and a Jean-Monnet chair holder.
Evaluation tasks within the framework of the project have been carried out by Professor Theodora Chiou, while the carrying out of the administrative tasks relating to the project has been assigned to Mr. Nicolaos Lymouris (contact person of the Centre of European Documentation of the Panteion University and PhD candidate). Scientific tasks relating to the project were performed by Dr. Iliana Christodoulou-Varotsi, teaching fellow at Panteion University specialized in the international and EC legal framework of maritime transport, Dr. Miltiades Vadrachanis, a collaborator specialized in the field of public procurement, State aids and competition policy and Dr. George Malindretos, a collaborator specialized in the field of maritime transport logistics.

The IMTP is one of the most important sea gates from Europe into CIS Countries and Asia. It has a consolidated leading position in: processing of general, bulk and liquid cargoes, trans-loading and transhipment, automated logistics, multimodal transport, storage, forwarding services, container traffic, maritime agencies, financial and investment services, cooperation with ship-owners. The Authority is the most important Institution of the South of Ukraine in the field of transport specialists employment, having a staff highly skilled in the wide set of services.
The city of Illyichevsk is a relevant socioeconomic phenomenon. Illyichevsk is a young town founded on 1958 due to the construction of the new seaport, nowadays the largest in Ukraine; today it is a town of regional significance and great industrial centre of Odessa Region and it is closely tied with Odessa, Mykolaiv and Kherson. In the town there is a large network of services and business: the welfare of the town and its citizens depends upon fruitful work of the local main industrial structure, the seaport.
