Introduction

This site has been jointly created and defined by the E.U. Universities' staff and the Ukraine Universities and Institutions' staff, as well jointly have been defined the project of contents of the site, the development of its layout and the carrying out of the administrative procedures for its official registration.

This site has the main aim to show the ONMU teaching and management improvement results and the new services and training activities in order to:

• match the needs of the students to be considered like customers,
• link ONMU to other Universities, Institutions and Port Authorities in the "Black Sea" region,
• create training network of universities and higher education institutions, public agencies, administrations and advice enterprises in the maritime and sea transport sectors,
• report constantly the upgrading and retraining of the ONMU staff during the project time span (March 2002 / April 2005).

We are confident that browsing into the site will be a fruitful occasion to exchange information and experience on the technical and scientific co-operation between European Union and Eastern Countries Institutions and experts in the field of the Sea Transport Management, paving the way for further joint programmes and cooperation.
